Nation-building is a slow process. Everything depends on how we handle it. Everything is not about the government even the public has a vital role in nation-building.
Usually, the ruling government will be having more pressure as there will be mountains of tasks on them. Some of them are working on poverty, health sector, education sector, energy supply, transportation facilities, national security, maintaining peace, maintaining law and order, handling the opposition and parallelly they will be given with resource, logistics, and monopoly to handle all the tasks. The money taken as tax by the government should be used for development now for their use. Every ruling party should be answerable and responsible for everything that happens in the nation.
Opposition is necessary else the ruling government will get corrupted and will start showing ego and arrogance. If there is no opposition then who is going to point out the mistakes done by the ruling government. Suppose if the public tries to point the mistakes then the ruling party will start to accuse by using investigation agencies on the individuals who raised their voice against the government. So everyone must question them.
Most of the time when anything goes wrong the outrage by the public on the government will be more but when the same government takes any good decision the public will not be having the same intensity while praising them. This is the human tendency.
The mistakes done by the previous government will also be blamed on the ruling government. The public will start questioning the ruling government, they will say “We have elected you for this purpose only. You should correct the mistake. For how long will you blame the previous government for everything?”
We should also think on the other side. There is a proverb, “A bad dancer will always blame the stage.” It’s not good for the oppositions to always see red in the ruling government they should also learn to praise the good decisions taken by the ruling government.
