One day a farmer’s donkey fell into a well. While the farmer searched for a way to free him, the animal was crying for hours. But he could not.
Finally, the farmer came to the conclusion that it was not worthwhile to pull it out from the well because it was old, and the well was already dry, and it needed to be covered anyhow.
Immediately he invited all of his neighbors to come and help him. Everyone took out a shovel and started to fill the well with dirt. The donkey became aware of what was happening and cried out loudly. After some time it became quiet all of a sudden. It surprised everyone for a second. They continued to put the mud. When the farmer eventually looked down into the well, he was shocked to see the jackass. It was doing a wonderful job with each shovelful of mud. It was stepping on the top of the mud after shaking it off. Everyone was surprised at how the donkey reached the mouth of the well, went over the edge, and trotted out.
